The problem
The construction technology market is large, fragmented, and hard to navigate. New tools launch constantly. Categories overlap. Vendors use different language to describe similar functionality. For a project team evaluating options or a small business owner trying to understand what exists, there was no good central reference.
What we built
A structured directory of construction technology-focused software — organized by category, searchable, and kept current. The goal was a resource that a project manager, owner’s rep, or contractor could open when evaluating tools and actually find what they were looking for.
The backend uses a classification pipeline built with the Anthropic API to categorize new tools as they’re added, reducing the manual curation burden as the directory scales. I have another article on its build here.
